OpTic Texas, the Riyadh Falcons and the Boston Breach all improved to 2-0 with wins on Sunday at Stage 4 qualifying of the Call of Duty League.
Only the Breach had to work through more than three games to secure the win ... they did it in four.
The Riyadh Falcons downed Paris Gentle Mates 3-0 and OpTic Texas swept the Miami Heretics 3-0 before the Boston Breach shook off a loss in the second map to win 3-1 over Cloud9 New York.
The 12 Call of Duty League teams are playing five qualifying matches apiece to determine seeding for the fourth major of the season, to be held June 25-28 at Nanterre, France. Each team receives 10 CDL points for every win.
Riyadh won 250-240 on Den Hardpoint, held Paris at bay 6-4 on Sake Search and Destroy and closed out the match victory with a 3-1 win on Scar Overload.
It was similar going for OpTic. The Texas squad won 250-215 on Scar Hardpoint, edged Miami 6-5 on Raid Search and Destroy and then dominated 6-1 on Exposure Overload.
Boston's opening 250-241 victory on Den Hardpoint was quickly matched by Cloud9's 6-4 win on Sake Search and Destroy. The Breach rallied to secure a 5-3 win on Den Overload and a 250-245 closeout victory on Scar Hardpoint.
All teams will now rest up before action resumes with three games on Thursday, June 11.
