Houston Texans cornerback Kamari Lassiter will miss Sunday's regular-season finale against the visiting Indianapolis Colts due to knee and ankle injuries.
Lassiter has four interceptions, 17 passes defensed and 91 tackles in 16 games during his second NFL campaign. The 22-year-old was selected as a Pro Bowl alternate.
Lassiter already was dealing with an ankle injury and then hurt the knee during last week's 20-16 road victory over the Los Angeles Chargers.
Lassiter has seven interceptions in 30 career games since being a second-round pick out of Georgia in 2024.
The Texans (11-5) have won eight straight games and are in the mix for the AFC South crown. They need to beat the Colts and have the Jacksonville Jaguars (12-4) lose to the Tennessee Titans to claim the division title. Houston clinched a playoff spot for a third year in a row with its win over the Chargers.
The Texans also ruled out linebacker Jamal Hill (calf) on Friday.
Houston listed offensive tackle Trent Brown (ankle/knee), defensive end Darrell Taylor (ankle) and cornerback Ajani Carter (hamstring) as questionable.
Houston star cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. (oblique) was a full practice participant on Friday and is set to play against Indianapolis. Stingley has four interceptions this season and was named to his second consecutive Pro Bowl.
Cornerback Sauce Gardner (calf) was among four players ruled out by Indianapolis.
