WASHINGTON, D.C. A Delta Air Lines plane with nearly 300 people on board had an engine fire after leaving the gate at Orlando International Airport in Florida this week.
Passengers had to use emergency slides to get off the plane, according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
The Airbus A330 was about to fly to Atlanta when one of its engines caught fire around 11:15 a.m. The FAA said it would investigate.
This is the latest in a string of serious airplane incidents in the U.S., including a deadly crash in January between an American Airlines regional jet and an Army helicopter near Washington, D.C., which killed 67 people.
Delta said Flight 1213 had 282 passengers and 12 crew members. No injuries were reported. The airline said the crew followed safety procedures after they saw flames in the tailpipe of one of the engines.
A video shared on social media showed flames coming from the plane and passengers using a slide to evacuate.
The airport said the fire happened in the ramp area and its emergency teams responded quickly.
Airbus has not commented yet. Delta said its maintenance teams will inspect the plane and send other aircraft to help passengers continue their journeys.
In March, a similar case occurred when an American Airlines engine caught fire while taxiing after a flight was diverted to Denver. Passengers had to escape by walking out onto the wing.
